چکیده

Abstract Background Reports indicated that numerous factors, including inadequate personnel knowledge, contributes to insufficient patient data for setting up diagnostic reference levels (DRLs) in developing countries. This study aims evaluate the knowledge of DRLs as an optimisation tool amongst computed tomography (CT) radiographers northern Nigeria. is a quantitative cross-sectional study. A structured questionnaire was devised and distributed on site sixty-two CT total fifteen questions were included focusing DRLs, dose descriptors generating concerning overall radiographers’ perceived awareness about DRLs. Results response rate 77.4% (48/62) achieved. About 83.3% participants declare awareness, 37.5% carried out local survey. The percentage correctly concepts; 45.8%, (42%) descriptor (39%). Radiographers with work experience ranging from 4-10 years had highest score. Conclusion In this survey, deficiencies noted precise gap implementation survey optimisation. There need continuous training greater emphasis institutional based evaluation.
